try activating it via internet instead. Was it a legal copy of XP? You will not be able to log in Ever until it is activated. If you have a copy of the XP CD, you can reinstall it and activate it as well once you are online. Usually when you call in, there is no problems, just a long string of numbers that have to be entered. Which stinks. Good luck!
