Well it's not the best idea to have more than one AV program running at once but to have them installed, but not active? I'm not sure. I have had to manually uninstall many MacAfee products in the past. I'm almost positive this is causing all of your problems. It's a pain, but they do give you step by step instructions on their website(just find your product and search for manually uninstall). Their auto uninstall stinks it leaves a ton of registry and shared files behind and will eventually corrupt your whole system, my advice once you get rid of it don't ever install another MacAfee product on your computer until they get their crap together.Pc Tools should be straight forward enough to uninstall it normally.The free version of AVG is adequate, but just barely. If this is the route you want to go I highly recommend getting the licensed version. You can do this after you install the free version.Good luck.
