i want to send email on my new computer which has vista installed but i get this error message:

it asks me for my user name and password but it never recogises it ive tried microsft dowloads and followed all the links on my providers website can you help me fix it before i throw my computer through the window?
having changed the port to 110 nothing much has changed except the error report
