Microsoft Outlook has a section that when I want to send an email and press the letter say B then it comes up automatically with all the people I have ever sent emails to for B.
Fair enough and I know that this is separate from my address list as I have checked. I sent several emails to Brian and got his address wrong and of course all these wrong addresses come up for B amongst others. The question is How can I delete these auto cues addresses? I can't delete them by pressing delete as it does nothing. There must be a secret store and blowed if I can find it. Does anyone know where this auto address for emails is stored so I can delete these unwanted cues? As I have said it is nothing to do with the addresses and contacts list. Please answer clearly and in steps of what I have to do as I am 66 and thick G Thanks |

If its coming up wrong, is it because you have inserted it incorrectly into the address book or when you start typing and the list comes up, that you click on the wrong one in haste. If you type Br, only Brs should come up. They appear from your address book so it is up to you to make sure your address book is correct and uptodate.

It's not just outlook that does this, it's part of Windows.
THe only way I know of doing it, is to go to internet explorer, select Tools ? Internet options > Content > autocomplete and click on clear forms. This will clear the lot, but they will build up again as you re-use them. |
