I'm having problems sending mail from Outlook. I've been using Outlook for some time with Yahoo as the ISP. In the Accounts area I has the following settings: (MAIL) pop.yahoo.com Mail (Default) Using Dialer (GENERAL) pop.yahoo.com (NAME) Dick Cordrey (E-MAIL ADD) dickcordrey2006@yahoo.com (SERVERS) (POP 3) (INCOMING) pop.mail.yahoo.com (OUT GOING) smtp.mail yahoo.com (ACC NAME) dickcordrey2006 (PASS WORD) sookyi (CONNECTION) Connect using Internet Explorer's or 3rd party dialer (ADVANCE) SMTP 465 POP 3 995 This server requires SSL is checked under both SMTP and POP 3. Why can't I send e-mails? It receives fine. I get an Error # OX800ccof Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dick

The only thing that occurred to me was that perhaps your antivirus program was causing some problem or other but these are two links both from Microsoft that might help you to track down the problem:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/oerepair.mspx http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813514/en-us For some reason I never found out, a previous version of my antivirus program would regularly end up with the wrong port settings and then my emails couldn't get through. That's something you might like to check. They should match the port settings in your email account, I think. |
