Is it ok if I use both mcafee and spybot or would that cause problems?

One could cause the other to not work. Stick with McAfee, its more reliable.

You cannot run 2 virus scanners, such as Mcafee and Norton, they would interfere with each other. However, Spybot Search and Destroy is not a virus scanner, it is a spyware scanner and blocker. There is no problem having it at the same time as Mcafee, Norton, or any other virus scanner. As a matter of fact, I highly recommend it. I run it at the same time as my security suite.

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser.you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus. i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar.firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser.as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE. download firefox for free, Just have a try:http://www.seconddoor.net/firefox/Good Luck !
