As useless as IE is compared to Firefox, unfortunately, you still need it in order to get updates from Windows. Do not try to get rid of it, as it will cause problems on your computer.

Stay with Firefox, and only use IE in order to get your security updates. btw, IE7 is much better than IE6, so I would suggest getting that if you do not have it already.

Made on a Mac!!!!!

DO NOT uninstall internet explorer, you will most likely regret it later, but you can uninstall firefox by going to Set Program Access and Defaults under the start menu, if you have any other programs that you want to uninstall you can do that too. Also I reccomend cleaning your registry, cookies, history, and any files that are junk to free up space. To do this you can use disk defragmenter and disk cleanup under start menu<all programs<accesories<system tools.
