INdesign? How do you copy special french language characters from microsoft word into Adobe INdesign? I am having trouble copying french quotation marks (<< >>) they're copying in as English quotation marks (" ") and also having trouble with some other special symbols such as superscripts.

A few details on this question...
1) I'm using a PC not a Mac.
2) I can insert the characters manually in indesign after I copy the text in, but it doesn't copy the special characters correctly, so I don't think it's a font issue.
3) I'm copying a long manuscript and I don't want to have to scan the text to find all the incorrectly copied special characters.
