I have Microsoft word 2007 and i do my school work usin that but i cant print

it cuz i do it on my laptop...? and i dont have a printer connected to it. so i saved my work into a USB port and went to another computer to print it but it only had microsoft 2003 installed, so i had to do my work over. i also have Compaq Presario with a printer but its kinda old, is ther any way i can connect it to my laptop (hp pavilion) and print my stuff?

If there is a cd that came with the printer then put it in and install it. If not go to the manufacturers website for computer and download it there.
