Default in microsoft excel when i type in an amount like 1/60 it changes it to a date...
...like jan 1960. how can i stop it plz help me i need it for my homework

when in excel right click on the part that keeps changing and select format cell or row and it will open up a place where you can change it to how you want the n umbers to appear.
