Default Do MacBooks come with software similar to microsoft powerpoint?

I'm interested in buying one, however, I am afraid that I will not be able to complete assignments for school that require powerpoint. Does the MacBook have similar software to Microsoft Office, or can Office run on the MacBook? Thanks.

you can get open office I think. Basically, open office is a free form of microsoft office, but I still like microsoft office a bit better.

Also, note: you can import microsoft documents/powerpoints/etc, up to the 2003 version, but the 2007 version cannot be opened by it.
