Default Help on Microsoft Excel?

Hi i have a slight problem on an Excel file:
I want to reference one cell to a cell from another sheet (ie on a different sheet indicated by the tabs at the near bottom of the page) but whenever i try this (formula being =, going to the cell and then pressing enter) this comes up: #VALUE!
how do I change this so that it works?

I am not sure I understand exactly what you are trying to do, but this should help.

This formula is on sheet 3 - It multiples 12 times the value of Sheet1, Cell F12:

=SUM(12*Sheet1!F12)

(The value on sheet 1 can be a simple value or a calculation.)

If you are referencing a cell on another sheet, the cell location on the different sheet must be prepended by the sheet name followed by an !

A good site for excel help is (I have used it quite a bit):

What's in the cell that you're referring to?
Does it also say #Value?

I find this error in most of my formulas when the cells included in the formula already have a #VALUE error.
