Most retail computer stores carry Microsoft Office, though it can be fairly expensive (a few hundred dollars). If you or any of your family is a student or teacher (and has a picture ID to prove it), you can purchase the Student version, which is just as full featured as the regular verison, for about $150.

Alternatively, you can download OpenOffice for free from www.openoffice.org. It allows you to view and save in Office format, and has all the functionality of the Microsoft programs with none of the cost.

ebay, just chose a trusted seller with at least 100 feedbacks for selling items, not buying feedback. I also look for a seller that has sold lots of the same item I am buying. Only buy it if they have a paypal 200.00 to 2000.00 guarantee it will list it on the item page and qualify for the guarantee as a buyer you must pay with paypal and ship it to a verified paypal address.

Most Microsoft office items on ebay are academic for students or teachers, so look out for that on the super low price office items.
