VideoMate U500 DTV USB on Vista problems?

i have a USB DTV tuner (Compro VideoMate U500) that has been giving me BSOD (blue screen with writing saying error) everytime i plug it in and my comp would jst restart.
it worked fine on XP and for a little while on Vista up until now.

is there a solution to this problem?
