Default vista partition problem?

Hello,
I really need some help here. Last week I just bought myself Acer notebook 4920, with vista home premium installed and 1GB memory. My storage system already has 4 partitions:
1.Invisible to the window, for EISA Configuration(9.77 MB)
2.Invisible to the window, for EISA Configuration(3.00MB)
3.Drive c, for Primary partition, boot, window system files(84.61MB)
4.Drive D, for Primary partition(61.24MB)
When I try to shrink the drive C and D, into 25.44MB and 48.83MB each, I got this 2 unallocated volume displayed. Then I follow the instructions to create the new simple volume for each of it, but failed. A pop out say that I will going to change the basic disk into dynamic disk, which cannot start the installed operating systems on the disk (except for the current boot disk). When I click Yes, a pop out came out say that unable to perform the command, refer to the disk management help.
How can I fix this? I need to shrink my drive C and D to store my data and other junk but looks like it is quite impossible without messing with the OS. I have referred this problem to my computer’s vendor, they refused to help without charging me. I think it is ridiculous to pay high amount for something like this. Please, I really need advice regarding this.
