Yes but you won't be very happy
Vista will use 600mbs of ram idling
That processor and video card will cry trying to run the aero
Vista is known to use over 15gbs of hdd space for restore

This is what I recommend
Put another gig of ram in there
Take out that processor and get a inexpensive dual core
Buy another 80gb hdd
and swap out the video card with atleast something from the Geforce 7 series

u can but u cant watch hd or blue ray using these specs the last thing u will be able to run are dvd's and divx xvid videos ... and it will run in ur pc yes but i recommend adding another 1 gb ram to give vista more speed and performance ... by the way see if ur fx 5200 128 mb got vista drivers released and if it will support vista aero theme otherwise vista wont even let u start some of its screen savers till u have a 100% compatiable graphic card ... or the movie maker even ... and some more interesting programmes it got ... so make sure ur graphic card is 100 % compatiable with vista and direct x 10 and pixel shader ... otherwise dont bother about installing vista ...

what i recommend fully is to change ur processor to a dual core at least (but core 2 duo is the most recomended but a bit expensive) if ur mother board doesnt support core type processors u gonna have to change ur mb too ...

and get another 1 gb or 2 gb ram ...

buy a fully vista supported and dx 10 supported graphic card with at least 512 mb for the best performance ... if u want one for cheap i can recommend a 8500 gt 512 mb if u can go more than that it will be better ...

if u cant buy those i suggest u stay with windows xp it will be much much better ...

up the RAM to at least 3 gigs
upfgrade the graphics to a better card, not integrated1
and the 80 gigs of harddrive space, haha! up it a bit.
hey best yet,
you seem like you are going to do "Upgrade" to Vista Premium! huh? let me tell you this on that....hold on
you seem like you are not to experienced in what you need to run Vista on your computer, no offence but if you are unsure, best thing to do is buy another computer with vista, and MAKE SURE IT has a graphics card with DVI, and it hasat least 3 gigs of memory, trust me its cheaper in the long run, because installing as a up grade there are a few bugs, not as many as XP which sux, but a few that can be difficult to get over inless you know what you are doing, good luck! and VISTA RULES!

Don't waste your time. Vista will crawl on 1gig of memory on a dual core system. Microsoft laughs at your Pentium 4 and your graphics card is outdated and possibly driverless. Don't get me wrong... you can install it and run it but it is not worth the ten minutes you will spend booting up and the 15 to open a simple browser window

Vista is a joke anyways. Stick with XP and save your time.
