Default Please Help~ Windows Vista problems!!!!!!Please help?

Yesterday my computer was running very weird I had another tool bar on my screen, so I ran a scan with my defender and it showed I had a servere virus!!! So the defender scaned and removed the virus, well after that I put Kaspersky on as a virus protector instead of Norton which I have been using (and I take it wasn't working) So Long story short, today my computer is still running slow and ever once in awhile it goes to a blue screen and restarts my computer!!! WHY does it do this, could I have prement damage to my computer and what virus protection should I use and what should I do so this doesn't happen again!!!

OKAY...Take a slow breath and, let it out easy..
First..When you installed Kaspersky, did you uninstall Norton completely? Even when you do uninstall Norton via the add/remove route..it still leaves traces of itself on your laptop.
You will need to download another very small program to use to extract the rest of Norton left behind. I suspect this is why you're getting the blue screen..
Second.. When you installed Kaspersky, did you save it first to a "special folder" on your harddrive? The reason I am asking is two-fold. One is you will need to reinstall it at some point and, at that time you will be off line..okay?
Third..To regroup here..You'll need to download this uninstaller for the Norton..Save it in the same "Special Folder" where the Kaspersky program is downloaded/saved to. Then..after you have both saved onto your puter, reboot it and, hit F8 to go into the safe mode..Once there, select the safe mode without internet connection..
Now, once this is all done..Go to the add/remove, uninstall KASPERSKY. Then, run the uninstaller program for NORTON. it should be done rather quickly. (Don't reboot or anything..YET) Once that's finis, re-install the KASPERSKY program onto your laptop..At this point, you will want to run the defrag program and, then reboot to normal mode with the internet connection on..Register your new Kaspersky program..If it ask you to run it? Let it scan. Hopefully, this will clear up all of your problems..
Just be sure that the version of Kaspersky is the very latest version and, not just a copy from..say 2006 that has been renewed. You want the latest copy..Also, I use NOD32 which is built upon a version of Kaspersky's engine..Excellent antivirus program~! ^&^
Good Luck~!
