Default Vista Bussiness Sound Problem?

i am running a vaio fz283bn with vista business and wanted to record streaming sound like the "record what you hear thing"
i tried to look for an option to enable this but i can't find one.

i am also trying to do this with audacity and can't find the device

i did the show disabled devices and it only shows the mic

so what ever help you can give me will be appreciated thanks

Default

have you tried the vista search
Hit WIN key, type in a keyword in the search. This search targets the keyword and will open programs associated with it.

For more information type search hit WIN key >click hel and support. This will give more description and how to do results

some keywords you can try
device manager
hardware acceleration (sound) slide the slider back
audio codec (try vista audio codec on google)

you can pick up other keywords in these results, just be aware of that.

TIP: another thing to do in Vista is to right click the icon or shortcut of anything to do with your problem >properties >check all the tick box settings available in the properties tabs are appropriate.
