windows vista help?

I'm about to clean my c-drive and i have 894 mb of hibernation file cleaner. It says do not remove files if you use hibernation. What are the files? Does it cause harm if i remove the files?
do those sytem files slow down ur comp?
i only hibernate once in a while.
