My Anti-Virus software was in the process of doing an Offline Scan (all drives) while I was going to bed, then I realized that I didn't change my computer power-saving settings to NEVER Sleep, or Hibernate or whatever, but it was too late anyway. The next morning when I awoke, my computer appeared to be off, but I pressed the power button and saw the login screen only it said it was 'Locked' under my name. I'm the ONLY user on this computer. I could put in my password, hit enter, and get to the Vista Desktop, but only temporarily (it would return to Login screen after about 4 or 5 seconds!). What should I do? The Login screen also blinks every so-many seconds too! (is that supposed to happen? Is ANY of this?

power the computer down (turn it off) then do a reboot you should be OK then
