Default I can't change my hardware acceleration on my computer on windows vista

because of that common message help! So it says: "Your current display driver does not allow changes to be made to hardware acceleration settings". I have a generic PnP monitor and my adapter type is: ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M SERIES? plz somebody help me because I need to be able to record a media file! thanks!

It's a know problem with Vista. Well all windows actually, your only way to get it working is to install Linux. Ubuntu is probably the best option.

Windows always has problems and it will break your computer hardware eventually.
