Hi, I'm Jeff. I'm running the 32bit Vista Home Premium platform on a Dell XPS desktop computer. I recently recieved this error when attempting to install several programs (which I confirmed their compatability with Vista.)
Code:Access violation at address 00409422. Write of address 00401000. I googled the issue, and saw clearing my cache as one of the suggested solutions. I tried this; still, I get the same error. I even get this error when running an executable that I already saved to my computer before this problem occured. The hexidecimal codes change for each program I attempt to install. I ran a scan with Window's Defender, nothing came up; same for McAffee. Does anyone know what may be causing this problem? Thanks for your help. -Jeff

I know the problem of the cause - it's Vista
Vista is actually an ALPHA operating system, but Microsoft didn't care about that, so they are selling it for 900$, whatta rip off. Your Vista has lost the ability to communicate with HD or RAM. Save all your important data, format HD and reinstall Vista, have fun ![]() |
