I cant type in my Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student for Vista. Help please?

I typed in my 25 character key already, and was successful.
But whenever i start to type, this line would
show up in the lower left of the window:
"This modifacation is not allowed because the selection is locked."
So how do i "unlock" it so i can start typing?
