I'm sort of confused right now....I'm on summer vacation in China and I really want to play MapleStory.... I can't figure out what my problem is. Every time I try to run MapleStory I get the either you are not online or MapleStory is going through a server check error. Can anyone tell me what my problem is? Is it because i can't play global server in China, I'm using a vista, there really is a server check going on, or Maplestory is complete Bulls##t... Please tell me how to solve the problem if you know how also.

But on Mapleglobal website it says as long as you have existing account you can still play...

That's why. You can only play MapleSea in China. The servers have a special code that checks for your IP adress, and if it's from anywhere that has a maple story for that area, it blocks you.
