Default PLEASE HELP error in vista?

Okay I just had a virus attack and managed to delete as much viruses as I could find with kaspersky. The problem is now I get a huge amount of errors. But most of all I get a error which says this: "The application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorect.please see the application log for details" every time nero and some other programs. How do I fix tis? any answers would be GREATLY appretiated.

the simplest way to fix this problem would be to reinstall your operating system.

Did you buy your computer from a good company like: Hp, Compaq, Dell. If you did than you should have a OS restore software ( you should have two hard dives or 2 partitions, either way the second one should be called a "Recovery Drive", to check to see if you have that open up my computer). If you do have it go to the Start menu, then click All Programs and look for the file/folder PC Tools/PC Help/PC Recovery Tools, click on it and now look for the program PC Recovery/OS Recovery/System Recovery , click on that and it will give you 2 options, System Recovery or Destructive recovery, try the System one first and if it Dosen't work go for the Destructive. Alternatively you can try the Windows Vista System Restore option (google for more info) if that dosent work and you have your Operating System Discs (windows vista install cd's) than format your computer (google "how to format computer") and than reinstall. I hope this solves your problem, good luck.

If you can do a system restore to a time that you are sure was before the virus, you should do that.

Otherwise, insert your Vista install disk and do a repair install.

Once, you've done that, you should install an Internet Security Suite for the best virus and hacker protection. Bitdefender and Norton have excellent suites. More details here http://www.ask-the-computer-doc.com/computer-internet-security.html

The viruses that attacked to your computer destroyed the dll files of some of your application. You can reinstall your applications. Or repair them. Ensure that your antivirus is update.
