Default Please help me with Windows Vista update and security internet! 10 pts for the...

...best answer!? I usually install Windows Vista update but in these days I have tried to install many times but most of them have been failed.
Could you please tell me why and how I can improve that ?

Do you know any web sites where I can download(free) to scan and protect my computer fom virus, spyware, ect. ?

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This might sound like a dumb answer, but it will install sometime. It always happens to me, half are succeeded and half are failed. When they install some other time, it always end up working. Try installing the updates without doing anything else like internet browsing and all, it works for me. But here's a program to scan with and keep to protect your computer. I use McAfee. Most people would suggest you AVG, Avast, Avira, or multiple programs, but most don't know they can get McAfee for free. At stores, McAfee costs about $40 USD but here's a link to get it for free. 100% legal and safe, comes from AOL. It works for one year and from there you just renew it every other year for free. Now, I had McAfee for 3 years and never got one virus. McAfee protects against the basics, viruses and spyware. It also includes a firewall (don't use though, use Windows Firewall instead). It doesn't slow down your computer either.

Good luck and hope the updates are installed successfully soon.

Windows updates always have problems like this, the only thing you can do is keep trying. I would stay off line when updating windows and if the update fails reboot your computer and try again. You can use this link for a free scan of your computer you can download AVAST OR AVG for free Anti Virus.
