Default Vista error www.microsoft.com?

My Toshiba Satellite will suddenly lose internet connection and when I go to repair it, it says the DNS cannot connect to www.microsoft.com. The only solution to fix it is to restart the computer. Anyone else getting this problem?

The computer I had using the exact same data port and cable never had that problem, it was a Dell Windows XP .

Your problem description is vague and states conclusions rather than evidence. For example, you say it will suddenly "lose internet connection". Does that mean you lose a wireless link? Does that mean some kind of error pops up? Or what?

You say "it says the DNS cannot connect to www.microsoft.com". But what is the "it"? Is that error message from a program? If so, what program? What did you try to do when that error message appeared?

What kind of Internet connection do you have? Is it wireless or wired? And is it the wireless link you're losing?

Your last paragraph suggests it's a wired connection. What do you see on the other side of the wire when you have connection problems?
