how much RAM does your computer have, if its less than one and a half gigs then that could be your problem, you may have to upgrade you ram to solve your problem, I don't have vista myself as I am quite happy with xp, good luck

So go back to xp if that's what you want then. Do you think for one moment that Microsoft are going to turn around and say 'sorry peeps we blundered with vista, lets all forget it ever existed and go back to xp'. Didn't think so.

Do a google search (cos I can't be bothered to tell you how to do it) and you will find instructions on how to uninstall vista and boot back up on xp.

And PS to whomsoever thought it was big and clever to mark everybody down just be aware that YA are now monitoring all responses, replies and reports..meaning you can't afford to hit that stitch em up button so freely anymore.

Why do you people keep buying the latest and greatest un-tested OS's from Microsoft. Obviously by now you know it's not going to be righ for another two years yet.

You got what you deserve for being ignorant.

I have heard of very few people who like Windows Vista, myself included. I bought a new laptop a few months back that has Windows Vista, within a month it crashed, and I put Windows XP back on it.It was very expensive,it cost the same amount as the new computer did.Be sure to warn everyone not to buy a computer with Windows Vista on it.

sounds like you might be having a hardware-related issue. I'd first check your RAM - maybe removing a stick and test, then remove the other and test (depends how many sticks you have).

Don't remove ram vista take every bit you have just to boot up, add more if you don't have enough. If you can go back to XP would be your best bet

I have Vista and my computer has never crashed. What are you doing to it? How much memory have you got? I do know that Vista needs a lot more memory to run Aero so if you haven't upgraded you should seriously think about it. If you go to the Crucial website they have a special tool for Vista and they will tell you exactly what you have and what you need. Good luck with it.
