As the title says I am running Vista Home Premium on my HP Pavilion DV2000. I had to reinstall my OS due to a nasty virus I got. But since I updated I've installed the correct drivers and everything but when I go to dxdiag Direct3D,DirectDraw or AGP they all show up as Not Available. How can I fix this as I cannot run any Games without them.
Any type of video driver thatI try to run says No Drivers Could Be Found For This blah blah blah. I tryed 2 different kinds of listed drivers the 7200 and the 6400 for the laptop... I even tryed nvidias website... IN dxdiag it says my video card is a Standard VGA or whatever I cant exactly remember. But when I look up specs on the PC it replys back saying its a 7200 Nvidia.. But neither of them works.. |

Did you install the Chipset Drivers? A lot of what you have posted looks like the OS is not identifying the chipset properly.
The HP website (posted above) might be your best bet. If problems continue after loading some drivers from there, try the Intel Chipset Utility to confirm what chipset you have in your machine: http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/inf/sb/CS-009266.htm and then download the drivers from intel or HP. Also, if you haven't loaded any AntiVirus or don't have a license... give AVG Free Edition a shot. It works and it's free, a wonderful combo. |
