Carbonite Backup reinstall problem on a Vista Premium machine?

My desktop crashed and I have tried to install Carbonite on my laptop running Vista Premium, but Carbonite crashes my system

I download, go to my account, BUT RESTORE NOTHING, yet my laptop with Vista keeps crashing

Carbonite Customer Service seems to be basically useless for any help

Any solutions out there
