Default Windows Vista Ultimate & Windows Explorer Displayed Windows Size Problem?

Let me firstly say that I already know how to set the explorer and all other programs to come up in a maximised window by highlighting the icon, right clicking etc.

However this dose not seem to be working on VISTA ULTIMATE when I'm using Windows Explorer. I've gone through all the rigmarole of Highlighting the Icon , Right Clicking etc. But all I get is a Windows Explorer window that is about 1/4 the size of my screen.

After trying several things, including recreating the shortcut I'm beginning suspect a bug or a registry problem.

So what I would like to ask is this :-

Is there a registry entry in Vista that controls or effects the size of the Windows Explorer window. If so where in registry, with the use the registry editor can I find it and what value should it be set to.

Yeh I've got ultimate x64 version and the easy way is to move the explorer window to the top left of screen and then expand the window by left click dragging to the size you want.It seems to stay that way.Don't ask me why but it works :-)
