     JUST BOUGHT CANON EOS400d CAMERA....I HAVE WINDOWS VISTA...HELP!?

Default JUST BOUGHT CANON EOS400d CAMERA....I HAVE WINDOWS VISTA...HELP!?

it says that i need to upload the 2 cd's to the computer before i can connect my camera but i have windows vista and the cds are only compatible with windows xp and the older versions. does that mean i cant upload my pics? or can i still attach the camera usb without installing the cds?

You should not use the cd's on Vista or it could cause a problem. Check with Cannon Customer Service as directed by your camera manual or use the link above. You will need some drivers designed for Vista.

Just clicked the link above and then Support and then Vista and don't think your camera is supported.

This link will take you to the page where you can see which cameras are supported. Try to talk with Customer Support as they could send you the latest drivers and cd's.

You ought to be able to do it without the cd, but for the full installation, with any software it may have included, try canon.com
