I'd like to map the C: of my XP laptop to my Vista desktop. I've done this before, but never with a wireless router.
netstat -e shows nothing and ipconfig only shows my internet ip, not my intranet ip. It's set-up DHCP. I am hosting a web server, but I didn't think I'd expose my computer's true IP address to the world... is this what's happened? If not, how do I find my intranet IP address? I just want to make sure I can connect to my laptop which is 192.168.0.64 Thanks in advance. |

How have you set up the forwarding to the vista lap top. Is it set up as a 'dmz' host or did you simply forward ports 80 and 8080?
Try doing just that. Then you can get your internal ip address by right clicking the LAN adapter and selecting status, or under CMD type ipconfig /all Alternately go to your router and navigate to the point that shows DHCP leases. |
