Alright I'm trying to learn how to use Linux via Ubuntu. I attempted to partition myhen I harddrive and thought I did it correctly. I downoaded the Ubuntu Image on to a DVD and installed Ubuntu. I tried to use the duel OS feature with grub but it wouldn't load right. Now I reinstalled windows on a new partition that I made when I reinstalled Vista. When I logged in it only showed the partitioned drive which is 10 gigs and not the other 60gigs I have on my computer! I'm really getting frustrated here. I want to learn how to use Linux but I need some help. I consider myself savy enough to do this but linux is new to me so can anyone Give me a step by step instruction of how to do this or a site that explains it step by step I would be really thankful.
Just figured out where the other 70gigs went. No I installed vista the drive partitioned to 10gigs. Basically I did it so I can reformat it with out reinstalling vista over and over again |

If you download wubi, it is a program that you can use to dual boot ubuntu/vista. You can get it at download.com. It will auto partition for you, and if you don't like it. Then go to vista, control panel and then uninstall it.
