I have a 5.1 channel speaker system connected to my desktop and I could hear all speakers quadrophonically and in 5.1 in Win XP Pro; however, I get an error when I force Windows Vista Business to use 5.1 channel preferences.

I have to go back to just STEREO and waste the surround speakers.

How can I remedy this issue?

(I have the latest DirectX version, and latest motherboard soundcard drivers installed)
