Default Firefox and IE showing connection error. Internet isnt working, any help?

Whenever I try to open up Firefox it shows a white screen and says "Connection Error", and stays at a plain white screen. When I try to use Internet Explorer, all it does is say that there was an error and that the browser could not connect.

I basically cannot use my internet browsers. It was working fine yesterday, I already tried clearing my cache, scanned for adware and viruses, but no luck.

Any help?
By the way, all of the other computers connected to my router are running the internet just fine.
I have tried restarting, and the other computers that work are both wires and wireless.

if you have vista you may have networking problems.
you can try to fix it by doing this:
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Right-Click on Command Prompt > Click Run as Administrator.
Now type this in:

netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

And press Enter,
and then type:

netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled

And press Enter,
then type: exit

You will get instant results, no reboot is required.
you CAN turn it off by typing enabled, instead of disabled next time. you dont have to do this if you dont believe me or if you think it will harm your computer.however it will not harm it, for you can turn it off if does nothing for you. i think that it works for vista only, but im not sure. also, im just trying to help, so do at your own risk.
