Default Annoying firefox problem: browser url dropdown doesn't store websites anymore for

some reason? (explanation)? I used to be able to type just PART of a website url (that I had previously visited) into the url bar and the full url would appear in a dropdown list and I could simply click it and go to the exact page. This no longer works, EVEN IF I REPEATEDLY VISIT THE PAGE BEFOREHAND. Firefox just doesn't seem to be storing this info anymore and it's really inconvenient. Thanks for any help!!!!

ps, yes I've emptied my cache, cookies. That's NOT why it's not working though since it won't work after I visit a website.
EDIT: none of your suggestions worked. It's not as simple as the number of days stored in history (which is set to 90! by the way!). Nor is it a problem with cookies...oh well ill figure it out myself.

Go to tools at the top of the browser
Click on options
Click on the Privacy icon
There should be three boxes in a section titled History:
Keep my history for ___ days
Remember what I enter in forms and search bar
Remember what I've downloaded
I keep all three selected, though the second one is the main one that matters.

If problems persist, uninstall Firefox and reinstall with the latest version. Or bookmark your sites for easy access.

hmmm this sounds like an issue where your autocomplete is disabled in the URL bar,,, this isn't affected by cache or cookies it's just the setting that says autocomplete in URL bar,,, check the settings on your browser and u can hardset this from about:config page put about:config in url bar and press enter then find the autocomplete and the proper value and correct it... u most likely have this set somewhere in ur browser to not autocomplete

click on Tools >> Options...
then on Privacy Section, make sure you have checked all the Remember options in History
in Privacy... uncheck always clear private data and check ask before clearing private data
this should work
