...running but not responding? I copied my files this morning to a disk. Up till now, all has been fine with my computer- I recently downloaded the trial version of Firefox 3.5 beta and really loved it. When I finished backing up my data, Firefox would not open. The error message stated that was "already running but not responding". I restarted my computer several times, I even later uninstalled Firefox and then reinstalled it (didn't make any difference)- obviously, I went to Tech Support and after what they advised did not work, I resigned myself to the fact that there was no solution. I am not that computer saavy, but I was so distraught that I could not have Firefox (I HATE IE). Finally, I went and made a system restore (to a couple days ago) and then reinstalled FF and it works great again !! Any thoughts, comments, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Firefox only says that it is still running but not responding if the process firefox.exe is running.

Go to your Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and go to the processes tab. Look for any processes named firefox.exe and End Process. Do this if you ever experience the error that says Firefox is still running but not responding.
