Does the Microsoft Wireless Networking Adapter (XB360) work with an ethernet switch?

i want to connect my PC, Wii, and Xbox to the internet from one room across the house from my router. I have an ethernet switch and am wondering if you can still set the Adapter up through the switch? Thanks!
