Well they are certifications not degrees for one thing. Secondly, MCSD and MCSE are on total seperate tracks so I do not think one certification would help the other with a pay increase. But if you want to make the most money, I wouldgo with the programming people are more willing to pay for a good programmer. If you want a certification that would get you more money with either cert, I would get the MCDBA
