I just scanned my computer with Bitdefender virus scanner. It deleted tons of TMP files and stuff it said was infected with trojans. When I rebooted my PC, the Microsoft Networking Password keeps saying NOT VALID. I can hit cancel and the internet works, but how do I get my network password to work again.......or would it be easier just to remove it from network and not have a password prompt somehow? THANK YOU!

If you're the admin of the network, just reset you master password, then log in under a user account. Should fix itself.
If not, have the admin do it for you. You can also check to see if Bitdefender has an undo option. If it doesn't, check to see if created a System Restore point you can revert back to. Chances are it erroneously deleted the file your password key was stored in. This does not nescessarily mean its Bitdefender's fault. I have seen Windows installs where password storage never made it past a temp file. Not suppose to happen that way. |
