Default Windows Live OneCare & Windows Defender??

I have a subscription to windows liveonecare on my desktop computer and it's also on my two laptops.. the two laptops also have windows defender? but it keeps saying it's not on

do i need defender if i have onecare? how do i uninstall defender? it's not listed under programs to uninstall it...

You don't necessarilly need Windows Defender. though I couldn't say how to get rid of it. All you really need is Antivirus, Firewall, and something to get rid of Spyware such as Spybot Search & Destroy. Hope that helps.

Windows defender cannot be un-installed on vista but can on XP, if you have vista you can turn off windows defender.
