i installed windows 7 a week or 2 ago, and every now and then my microphone gets this "static" noise while im talking. i go into the microphone settings and change the sample rate and bit depth to a different setting, then it stops. i get off the computer for the day, come back on and it has the static again. the problem is not my microphone obviously if it works when i change my sample rate and bit depth. someone please tell me what to do.
