Default I have some avi files on my computer that I would like to watch through

windows media center. Can you help? Ok so I have Windows Vista Ultimate with media center and I have the extender setup for my xbox 360. There are a few .avi files that a friend sent me and I would like to watch them on my TV through my Xbox. I can find the file fine, but when I try to play it it gives me this eroe message. "Cannot Play Video: The file type is not recognized and cannot be played. Either the correct codec (a file that compreses/decompresses audio or video) is not installed or the file is corupt." Well the file is not corupt because I can watch it through windows media player on my comp. I have downloaded "FFDSHOW" and "Media Control Configuration". I was under the impression that "FFDSHOW" was a codec package. I figured it would automatically configure, but I guess I was wrong. Can anyone help me? By the way I am running and wired network, so it is not a wireless connection.
