Is there a way to use both a Slingbox and Windows Media Center for Vista together?

To watch and record tv on Windows Media Center, I guess you need a TV tuner but I didn't want to connect an S video cable coming out of my room, will it be better to just get a Slingbox? What are the pros and cons?
