Xbox 360 Media Center Problems?

I have the files on my Windows XP Media Center 2005, and my connection setup is: my xbox is wired to my Linksys router, and my laptop is wirelessly connected, the music and videos don't show up on the xbox. well some do, but i never had those on my media center, but all my pictures show up? please i really need help!

first of all get windows media player 11 and then right click on the library tab at the top and find a link called media sharing, click on that and find the device Xbox 360 and click allow. Also try going to videos under music in the dashboard instead of click on the windows Media center tab . All the videos must have the extension .avi

You need to configure your laptop to open to an in house connection (Or LAN). This is because your laptop is not sharing your documents. In network connections, click the 'Set up a small home or office network' wizard, and make sure that in your documents, you right click the folder of the files you wish to be shared and configure the sharing settings.
