Default How do I remove Windows 2000 and install Windows 98?

I got this computer from my sister-in-law. It's only a couple of years old and I think the hardware's all good but her kids, in trying to 'fix' it, have it so mucked up that you can't even get online with it. I don't have a 2000 disk but I do have a 98 disk that hasn't been used except for repairs (never registered). So how do I do this? Just go to Add/Remove, take everything out and put in the 98 disk or what? (That question alone should give you some idea of how much I know about this stuff). Or do you have a better idea? I hope. Thanks.
It doesn't have Ad Aware or Spybot or anything like them installed any more, so I can't try that.
Sorry, guys, I'm still confused. Instructions for formatting will come up if I insert the 98 disk while 2000 is still in there? Nothing is ever that easy for me. And I don't know how to format manually.

Oh, and Murli? I'm not a sir and I'm going back to 98 because that's the only disk I have. Been reading long? ;-}

Upgrade or format. The options come up when you insert the CD.

Why such a backward step? No Sir, no! Unless your system is so low on resources and bulid that it can only run win98.
