Default Trying to install windows 2000 but it says i have to low ram but i have...

...got the correct ram? Right, I brought a computer from a car boot sale ($20). It came with windows 98. I want to install windows 2000 professional. So i booted the computer up and it said "Memory test : 32mb ok" Then windows 98 booted up and on the system info it sayed 24mb main memory. So i took out the ram and it sayed 32 mb on it. I put the windows 2000 disc in and it sayed i needed 32mb. So why is this doing this. Windows 2000 needs 32mb and i have 32mb but it thinks i had 24mb. Why can't i install windows 2000? and how can i fix this.

Just because you have enough for that system to be on there, doesnt mean it will install. It will also need additional memory to run.

You will need to buy more RAM or you will need to stick with the 98.
