Default no sound on my pc altho' listed in the hard drive. can someone help. am
running windows xp 2000. could it be that the system is about 8 years old and that it's come the pc. how can i rectify this?

i had the same problem and installed REALTEK AC'97 SOUND DRIVER you shall try

Never heard of XP 2000.
Try the link, below. If that doesn't do it, search.
