Hi. I have and a computer and I was planning to sell it at a garage sale. But there's a problem. See I had windows 2000 on it already, but I wanted to have a fresh copy so I tried installing it again. Well I went to install it and I formatted the drive or whatever it's called and then it goes to install and it keeps telling me that the files weren't copied properly. The files are from the I386 file. Well then I decided that I would install Linux Ubuntu. So it went through the installation and everything (which goes alot faster than windows does!) Then it shows the orange Screen Ubuntu has but then the computer freezes up! Then when I turn the computer off and then on again it says NTLDR was not found. I have tried each of them multiple times. And I have tried other types of linux too. I don't think it's the cd's fault because none of them have worked. So I think it's the computer's fault, but I have never had a problem with the computer in the past. It's a nice computer. It's an hp HewletttPackardd) So thank you in advance and answer quickly! The garage sale is in a few days!
